A nationally-recognized career and life/balance coach, Renée Peterson Trudeau is president of Austin-based Career Strategists. Since 2000, Career Strategists has helped professionals and entrepreneurs create passion-filled careers through integrating who they are with what they do.


In 2002, Trudeau launched Renée Trudeau & Associates to expand her services to include facilitator training workshops and coaching for balanced living. She is the author of The Mother's Guide to Self-Renewal: How to Reclaim, Rejuvenate and Re-balance Your Life (Balanced Living Press, 2008).


As president of Career Strategists, Trudeau serves clients from numerous Fortune 500 and 100 companies including IBM, Dell Computer Corporation, State Farm Insurance, Shell Oil, Samsung, Whole Foods Market, 3M, AMD, MCI, Amazon.com, Accenture, AT&T, Freescale, National Instruments, and GSD&M Advertising as well as local, state and federal government agencies and nonprofit organizations. She also leads career management and work/life balance workshops for companies and organizations such as the Texas Conference for Women, the Association for Women In Communications, Women in Technology, Dell Computer Corporation, IBM, Applied Materials, eWomen Network and Executive Women in Government. Her unique approach to career and life management has been featured in numerous media.


Before launching Career Strategists, Trudeau spent 15 years as a marketing and public relations director. Her accomplishments included handling the national advertising/public relations account for Whole Foods Market; creating a corporate branding campaign for the third-largest medical-device manufacturer in the U.S.; developing public-service campaigns for national nonprofit organizations; and securing national media coverage for clients on CNN, the CBS Evening News, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, National Geographic, People Magazine and other national news outlets.


Trudeau was recently nominated for the Association for Women in Communications Headliner Award and she is the recipient of the prestigious Mentor Award from the Association for Women In Communications. At 22, Trudeau was selected to participate in the Dallas-Fort Worth area Leadership America Program and she has received state and national recognition for her creative, solutions-based approach from such organizations as the Association for Women In Communications, the International Association for Business Communicators, the Phillip Crosby Quality Recognition Program and the United Way.


Trudeau's leadership and personal development background includes training with The Governor's Center for Management Development; The Center for Creative Leadership; Stephen Covey, author of Seven Principles of Highly Effective People; Gregg Levoy, author of Callings: Findings and Following an Authentic Life; Carol Orsborn, author of Inner Excellence: Spiritual Principles to Life-Driven Business; Joseph Bailey, author of Slowing Down to the Speed of Life: How to Create a More Peaceful, Simpler Life from the Inside Out; and Dr. Betty Sue Flowers, author of Synchronicity: The Inner Path of Leadership. Trudeau has also attended workshops/training by leading authors Cheryl Richardson, Debbie Ford, Martha Beck, Suze Orman, Louise Hay, Dr. Christiane Northrup, Gay and Kathlyn Hendricks, and Dr. Wayne Dyer.


Trudeau graduated with a double major in Journalism (Advertising/Public Relations emphasis) and English (Creative Writing emphasis) from Fort Worth's Texas Christian University. She has graduate-level training and education in leadership and organizational development, executive coaching and is certified as a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) facilitator/trainer through the Association for Psychological Type.
